Camp Information

This camp is designed with the youth player in mind. The camp is a non contact camp. There is no live hitting between players. This allows young players to work on fundamentals without having to worry about getting hit. It’s important for youth football players to gain confidence in their skills before starting full contact drills or practice. They will be participating in shirts, shorts, and shoes to avoid the distraction of getting used to wearing equipment while trying to learn.

The camp is also designed taking into consideration the attention span of youth football players. The instructional sessions are designed in 10 minute time periods.

Along with learning fundamentals it’s important for the youth player to enjoy the game. They like to compete and have fun. The final hour of camp will be spent playing flag football games.
This approach balances gaining confidence in a safe environment while learning fundamentals, attention span, and having fun to deliver a rewarding experience for the youth football player.

The Camp Coordinator is Mike Beaver. Mike has been a successful youth coach in the West County area for youth teams in both Football and Basketball. Mike’s teams are known for combining results with a high level of satisfaction from players and parents. To assist other instructors will include youth football coaches and players or coaches of area high school programs.
